Welcome to the Official Website of Bisi Osundeko I'm delighted to welcome you to my personal website—a space where purpose, passion, and lived experience meet. I’m Bisi Osundeko: an award-winning entrepreneur, public speaker, philanthropist, author, and babywearing consultant. I’m the founder of Joy and Joe Baby, one of the UK’s leading babywearing brands, inspired by my two beautiful children, my late teen daughter Joy and my teen son Joseph—both born with special needs. Their early challenges became the catalyst for a life dedicated to supporting families, creating inclusive spaces, and empowering others through adversity. Alongside my husband, I am also a real estate investor, and together we manage a growing portfolio of properties and convenience retail ventures. In addition, I founded the Joy and Joe Special Needs Parenting Support Group on Facebook, a thriving charitable community for families raising children with disabilities. Academically, I hold a postgraduate degree from the University of Nottingham, where I was honoured with a prestigious DFID/Commonwealth Scholarship. I am also an OFSTED-registered early years expert and served as a school governor in three special educational needs (SEN) primary schools. My philanthropic and advocacy journey includes initiating a support group for parents of disabled children in the North West, contributing to SCOPE’s national campaigns, and representing families at events in the UK Parliament and high-profile charity functions—including one hosted by music mogul Simon Cowell. My work has been widely recognised:
Named one of the Top 100 Business Mums by Mumsclub (2012)
Winner of the Venture Further Business Award by the University of Manchester (2015)
Voted Best Female Entrepreneur at the Talk of Manchester Business Awards (2017)
As a committed public servant, I proudly serve as the Labour councillor for Parr Ward in St Helens, and have held several leadership positions within the Labour Party, including BAME Officer and CLP Secretary. Since 2020, I have served as an executive committee member for the Labour Women’s Network, working to elevate women’s voices across all levels of government. I am also a trustee of Heart of Glass, a collaborative arts organisation, where I continue to champion inclusive creativity and community-led change. As a speaker and coach, I specialise in themes around resilience, special needs parenting, entrepreneurship, women’s leadership, and overcoming adversity. My story and talks have inspired audiences across the UK and beyond. I’m the co-author of the bestselling anthology I Fly: Stories of Overcoming Adversity and the author of two transformational books: Befriending Adversity and Incubating Hope.
